Hobnob is a cool application that provide professional networking for users of Facebook. The beauty of this application is that users can reach any of their contacts through a single formal request.
Hobon users can specify descriptions like.. “I want to connect with a techie” or a description like “social media consultant”. So essentially it is the name or description with which user can specify his query.
Hobon has certain features like “Global Connection Requests” area which make it pretty similar to professional networking sites like Linkedin. It won’t be wrong to call HobNob as the LinkedIn of Facebook.
Applications like HobNob are adding more value to Facebook and decreasing the impact of professional networking sites like LinkedIn. Hobnob is being launched by a company called Area 444, which is also responsible for user-generated audio joke site Comic Wonder.
