Howards says the biggest advantage of social networking giants like Facebook is their user-base — its so-called “social graph.” It always allows developers to reach a broad audience with very little effort.
2. Make it sticky
Develop an application that entices users to interact rapidly! An application that encourages users to interact with frequently. A fun, userful application by design.
3. Make it social
Make an application that exploits the social aspect of Faceook. Price, an interior designer says, “As interior designers and developers, we wanted to create an application that would bring together those who share a love for design”.
4. Leverage your site
Develop an application that is useful for yourself and also promotes your website. For example Flixster incase of Movies application.
5. Prepare to scale
Ensure that your application is scalable enough, for example if the application grows when it comes to the levels of popularity then you should warn experienced Facebook application developers.
