Facebook and SalesForce.com Showcase Another Facebook Business Application

I talk a lot about the power of Facebook as a business tool to get to know your customers, vendors and partners better in order to build better relationships. It looks like SalesForce.com was listening. With the release of FaceForce, SalesForce.com users can now view their contacts Facebook profiles within their SalesForce account. Since I do not use SalesForce.com, I was unable to test drive this application, but from the what I have read it looks like an awesome application.

For SalesForce.com this new found ability to learn about their customers, vendors and partners on a personal level opens up a whole new level of customer relationship management. No longer will you be forced to start a phone call about the weather. With FaceForce, you will be able to talk about what the contact has been up to lately, mutual friends you may have in common in addition to any other more personal interests. Now, I do not think this application will make people run out and use SalesForce.com, it is exactly the sort of Facebook application that can pave the way for other enterprise level applications that can improve and increase business.
