Via mashable - First it was Gmail and now it is Gtalk. Yes, the unofficial Gtalk application for Facebook is available and it is through the use of Google Talk Gadget. You can access it here. The application has been developed by Chandan Kumar from Texas and is an way to extend the use of Gtalk which is slightly limited in terms of functionality when compared with other IM clients.
The Google Talk Gadget lets you see who’s online and send instant messages from your Google Personalized Homepage, without installing any software. You can also add the same instant messaging capabilities to your own webpage or blog by cutting and pasting a single line of code. With this Gtalk application you can chat with your Gtalk buddies and can also view your Facebook friends. friends.
The biggest concern with third applications like Gtalk is that of security. As a user you never know how credible are they.
