Facebook Lacks Business Applications
With all of the buzz surrounding Facebook as the social network for business professionals lead by those like Jeff Pulver, you would think that there would be more useful Facebook Business applications. A quick broswe of the top five Facebook business applications, shows you:
What do any of these most popular Facebook business applications, other than Jobster, have to do with business? Nothing that I can see.
Facebook Might Be the Business Social Network
But it is not right now. Sure some popular pundits have made fan boys of us all. Even still the lack of business application that allow business people to more than just add colleagues and friends and message them makes Facebook very unattractive in many respects. When Facebook business applications start to include things like a recommendation system, an introduction system, a rating scale, or maybe even robust blog feature that would allow one to better push information to their network of friends.
I love Facebook, but i think the real lack of true business functionality will lead to a lot of business people losing interest or at the least Facebook fatigue, especially as the buzz filter’s down.
