“Research In Motion”, the company behind BlackBerry has created a Facebook software which is designed specially for its hi-tech smartphones which enable users to access Facebook. The first telecom carrier has been chosen as T-Mobile US.
The phone carrier would provide the software application to its users.
Via the BlackBerry phone users can receive friend notifications/alerts and check their lists using scroll utility like a typical e-mail service. Users are also powered to compose offline messages. Most importantly, users can upload photos directly from BlackBerry camera into Facebook application.
RIM has adding features to its basket with”lifestyle applications” like games and multimedia in an effort to attract more retail users to the traditionally business-focused BlackBerry.
