Via telegraph - No we’re not saying that Facebook users land in prison but instead it is the news about a husband landing up in prison for inadvertently sending messages to her wife via Facebook.
The man, Dylan Osborn, a 37 year old, had been ordered by court not to contact his wife Claire Tarbox, as he had harassed harassed her with phonecalls and text messages. However, after joining Facebook for viewing Friend’s photos, the automatic friend request automatically added his wife too. On receiving the request, his wife contacted police. Dylan, however mentioned that the message had been sent by mistake. He was arrested and imprisoned for ten days. He was freed after three days of repeated requests from his solicitor.
This is what Mr. Dylan had to say:
“I certainly hadn’t intended to contact my wife… I didn’t even know she had a Facebook account. To be honest, I don’t think the judge understood how it works either.
Mr. Dylan’s case does send warning signal to Facebook users. This could happen to anyone.
