The Financial chief of Facebook Inc., Gideon Yu has joined board of Vobile Inc. which is a closely held provider of the finger printing technology for identifying video content.
Mr. Yu who is 36 years old has joined Facebook in July from YouTube, the video-sharing site owned by Google Inc.
Vobile is popularly known as inventor of VideoDNA software. It can examine video and identify specific content which allows websites to automate the availability of copyrighted video on their properties. According to Vobile Founder and Chief Executive, Yangbin Wang,Yu’s agreement to join Vobile’s board signals his “support of technology and the company”.
