Via ZDNet UK - The 23-year old founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has been named the most influential person in technology for 2007 according to polls conducted by silicon.com.
According to ZDNet’s UK version Zuckerberg has emerged as the winner in the eighth annual Agenda Setters poll by ZDNet.co.uk’s sister site. The criterion of polls is the level of impact created.

Last year i.e. 2006 the “next generation” was given collective ranking of number two in the poll and this year they have managed to make the breakthrough.

The scenario has gone a complete overall since 2004 as during earlier days politicians and regulators topped the polls. This shows the transformation in technology industry, as a 23-year-old has taken the top slot as the chief executive of one of the largest social networks in the world.”
