A Facebook group with 121 members is going all out to save 31 post offices across south wales. The campaign had gone online a little while back with efforts of Plaid Cymru who is Assembly Member for South Wales Central Leanne Wood.
According to the site’s declaration “We call on Post Office Limited to reconsider its closure programme of 31 branches across Cardiff and the Glamorgan Valleys. Post offices are an invaluable economic and social resource for our communities.”
There’s another statement which says, “We are committed to reinstating the Post Office Development Fund, exploring with local government colleagues ways in which post offices might be better used for local authority, business and other local services.”
It is popular belief that post office would take notice if the group continues to grow and make waves.
