Facebook finally caved to user demands and has agreed to drop the “is” from status updates. Now you can say things like “Jordan loves to update her status every hour” instead of “Jordan is loving to update her status every hour.”
As you would imagine, Facebook is littered with groups demanding this change, including the Campaign to lose the mandatory “is” from status updates and, my favorite, I die a little bit inside when I see grammatically incorrect status updates.
And I do, y’all. I do.
Allfacebook.com reports that the new status template will be in effect as of tonight, so get your old-school incorrectness out of your system today while you still can.
